A silk base is a thin layer of sheer silk fabric that sits between the lace and the scalp. Hair is sewn through from underneath, which makes each strand appear to grow directly from the scalp. It is the most natural-looking base available and ideal for alopecia and crown thinning.

Our toppers use four to six pressure-sensitive snap clips that attach to your natural hair at the perimeter of the base. They sit flush against the scalp and are completely hidden under your own hair.

Yes. All our toppers are 100% human hair and can be blow-dried, flat-ironed, or curled at up to 180°C. Always apply a heat protectant to the lengths before styling.

With daily wear and weekly care, our silk-base toppers last 5–8 years. The silk base itself is durable; the clips may need replacing after 12–18 months of heavy use, which our team can do at no charge.

Yes. Our toppers are designed specifically for alopecia, PCOS-related thinning, and post-partum hair loss. The silk base requires no adhesive and does not contact the scalp directly. Please contact us before ordering if your thinning area is larger than 5" × 5" — a wig may be a better fit.
